What does Premier Fiat Extended Warranty cover?
Engine, Timing Belts, Manual gearbox, Automatic gearbox, Torque converter, Differential, Clutch, Front wheel drive, Rear wheel drive, Propshaft, Wheel bearings, Engine Cooling system, Air conditioning, Turbocharger (where factory fitted), Fuel system, Front and rear suspension, Steering
Brakes, Electrical system, Engine management (ECU), Working Materials Components also included are: Oil seals: crankshaft front seal, camshaft oil seal, gearbox rear seal, drive shafts seals, differential pinion seal, and any oil seal or gasket where removal of the engine, gearbox or differential drive systems is essential to effect repair. Casings: Damage caused to the casings and to other mechanical and electrical parts as a direct result of the failure of covered components is included.
Working Materials: Working materials and supplies such as oils, filters and anti-freeze are covered where their replacement is essential as a direct result of the failure of a covered component.
What's not covered by Premier Fiat Extended Warranty?
Bodywork including handles, all door locks including tailgate, bonnet and boot locks, linkages and hinges, brightwork, paint, glass, interior/exterior trim, air bags, in-car entertainment/communication systems, satellite navigation systems, batteries, exhaust systems and catalytic converters, normal wear and tear or service items and other components subject to routine maintenance or periodic repair or replacement, such as (this is not a complete list) spark plugs, HT leads, brake frictional material, clutch facings, wiper blades/rubbers, all cables with the exception of the clutch cable, V-belts, hoses & pipes, light bulbs/units, wheels and tyres. Alarm systems unless factory fitted or approved by the manufacturers and/or installed by the manufacturer's dealer/agent.
What does Standard Fiat Extended Warranty Cover?
Engine: Rocker assembly including hydraulic followers, inlet and exhaust valves [excluding burnt valves], springs and guides, cylinder head and cylinder head gasket (including refacing), sump gasket, push rods, camshafts, camshaft oil seals and followers, timing gears and chains, oil pump, pistons and rings, cylinder bores, con rods, gudgeon pins and bearings, crankshaft, bearings and crankshaft oil seals, inlet manifold and gasket, flywheel and ring gear.
Timing Belts: Are covered providing that the last due change of belt has taken place as specified by the manufacturer's schedules (proof required).
Manual Gearbox: Failure of the following internal mechanical parts: Gears, synchromesh hubs, selectors, shafts, bearings and bushes, transfer gears and all oil seals and gaskets. Automatic Gearbox: Failure of the following internal mechanical parts: Shafts, gears, clutches, brake bands, valve block, governor, oil pump, bearings and bushes, servo, drive plate, transfer gears, transmission control unit (TCU), fluid cooler and all oil seals and gaskets.
Torque Converter: Failure of any internal mechanical parts.
Continuously Variable transmission: Failure of the following internal mechanical parts: Clutches, planetary gears, reduction gears, shafts, variable pulleys, thrust link drives, internal seals, bushes and bearings.
Differential: Crown wheel and pinion, gears, shafts, bearings and bushes, thrust washers and spacers.
Clutch: Mechanical breakdown of the centre plate, pressure plate and release bearing, operating fork, master and slave cylinders, clutch cable, oil contamination of the centre only. Excludes general wear and tear. Final
Drive: (inc 4 wheel drive) Wheel bearings, half shafts, propshaft, drive shafts, including constant velocity joints, universal joints and couplings including gaiters.
Cooling System: Water pump, viscous fan coupling, thermostat, thermostat housing, engine coolant radiator, oil cooler matrix, turbo inter cooler matrix.
Turbo Charger: All parts of the turbo unit are covered.
Fuel System: Throttle body, automatic choke, mechanical or electrical fuel pump, fuel injection pump, air flow meter. Excludes any faults caused by misfuelling or any other contamination.
Suspension: Upper and lower ball joints and wishbone bushes, coil springs, leaf springs, hydropneumatic spheres, torsion bars, anti-roll bars including links, shock absorbers.
Steering: (including PAS) Steering rack and pinion [including gaiters], steering box, idler box, power steering rack and pump, electric steering motor.
Brakes: Brake master cylinder, wheel cylinders, restrictor valve, brake callipers, brake vacuum pump, servo, discs, drums and handbrake lever ratchet, anti-lock braking control unit.
Electrical System: Starter motor, alternator, ignition coil, distributor, electronic ignition amplifier, indicator relay, front windshield wiper and washer motors, sunroof motors, headlamp motors, electric seat adjustment motor, door mirror adjustment motors, heater fan motor, centralised door locking motors, cruise control, instrumentation panel, electric window motors, thermostatically controlled radiator fan motor, horn, oil pressure sender unit, coolant temperature sender unit, tank sender unit, ignition switch, multi function stalk switch, electric window motor switches, sunroof motor switches. This cover excludes all wiring, including wiring looms.
Engine Management: Engine electronic management systems. Excludes all wiring including wiring looms, pipes, hoses and adjustments.
Working Materials: Oils, oil filter and antifreeze are covered only where their replacement is essential as a direct result of the failure of a covered item.
Casings: Should the failure of any of the components result in damage to the casings, then they will also be covered and will constitute part of the maximum claim liability.
