Audi Comprehensive Cover

This warranty is not available for cars over 100,000 miles. The claim limit is the value of the car.

Everything is covered except:

  • Aerial and co-axial leads
  • Air cleaners
  • Auxiliary belts
  • Bonnet, boot and fuel flap release cables
  • Worn brake friction material and discs/drums
  • Engine, gearbox, axle and drive line mountings
  • Brake pipes and brake hoses
  • Worn clutch pressure plates, bearings and frictional material
  • Core plugs
  • Distributor caps
  • DPF Filter
  • Drive shaft and steering rack gaiters
  • Electrical wiring, connection blocks, terminals and fuses
  • Exhaust systems (although catalytic converters are covered for internal failure only)
  • Fuel filters
  • All hinges
  • Hoses, hose clips and connectors
  • HT leads
  • Light bulbs
  • Non-Audi original parts (or equivalent in respect of other makes) that are not of a matching quality to Audi original parts (or equivalent)
  • Oil filters and gaskets
  • Pollen filters
  • Rotor arms
  • Spark plugs
  • Sunroof cables, convertible roof material and straps
  • Tyres
  • Wheels
  • Wiper blades, arms, washer jets and hoses
  • Parts requiring decarbonisation, burnt or pitted valves and valve seat

Catalytic converters are covered for internal failures. This does not include the cleaning of fuel lines, filters, carburetors, pumps and the replacement of catalytic converters damaged from the use of contaminated or incorrect fuel, or accidental damage.

Oils, oil filter and anti-freeze are covered only if it is essential to replace them because of the failure of a part, which is covered under this Warranty.

Wear and Tear is NOT covered - including the following:
Bodywork, body seals (including boot, sunroof, roof, doors etc.), fixings and fastenings: nuts/bolts/brackets/studs/clips & springs (other than suspension springs), glass (except where they suffer an electrical or mechanical failure), interior/exterior trim, upholstery, paint, lamp units and wheels. All parts replaced that are associated with routine servicing, cleaning and any adjustments including (but not limited to) cam belt and diesel pump timings are excluded.

Audi Named Component Warranty

This warranty is not available for cars over 100,000 miles. The claim limit is the value of the car.

Items covered are:

  • Automatic Gearbox: Internal shafts, gears, clutches, brake bands, valve block, governor, oil pump, bearings and bushes, servo, ECU's, reverse light switch, drive plate and transfer gears.
  • Engine: The rocker assembly, including hydraulic followers, inlet and exhaust valves (not burnt valves), springs and guides, cylinder head excluding de-coking, cylinder head gasket [except skim], push rods, camshaft and followers, timing gears and chains, oil pump, pistons and rings, cylinder bores, con rods, gudgeon pins and bearings, crankshaft and bearings, inlet manifold, flywheel and ring gear. Timing belts are covered provided that the last due change of belt has taken place as specified by the manufacturer's schedule [proof required].
  • Manual gearbox: Internal gears, synchromesh hubs, selectors, shafts, bearings and bushes and transfer gears.
  • Working Materials: Oils, oil filter and anti-freeze are covered only if it is essential to replace them because of the failure of a part, which is covered under this Warranty.
  • Fuel System: Injectors, ECU, lift pump, mechanical or electrical fuel pumps and tank sender unit (excluding pipes and hoses).
  • Engine Cooling System: Water pump, thermostat and thermostat housing.
  • Steering: Steering rack and pinion, steering box, power steering rack and pump, power steering, ECU and relay, reservoir and idler box. 
  • Turbo/Supercharger: The Turbo/Super charger unit is covered.
  • Front and Rear Suspension: All parts including self leveling system, coil springs, upper and lower wishbones, ECU, relays and ball and swivel joints.
  • Brakes: Brake master cylinder, discs, wheel cylinders, restrictor valve, stoplight switch, brake caliper seals and servo.
  • Anti-lock breaking system: The ABS modulator, relays and sensors will be covered.
  • Exhaust System: Including Catalytic Converter although Catalytic converters are covered for internal failure only.
  • Electrical System: Starter motor and solenoid, ignition switch, engine management ECU's.
  • Wheel bearings: Front and rear wheel bearings.
  • Propshaft: Universal joints and couplings.
  • Torque Converter: Failure of any internal mechanical parts.
  • Differential: Internal crown wheel and pinion, gears, shafts, bearings and bushes, thrust washers and spacers.
  • Clutch: Centre plate, pressure plate, release bearing, oil contamination (centre plate only) and master and slave cylinders.
  • Front-wheel drive: Drive shafts, including constant velocity joints, universal joints and couplings (not gaiters).


Anything not specified is not covered.
